COMMENT POLICY
I welcome comments, rants, critiques, praise, and/or suggestions that will result in thought provoking conversation. I ask that you simply stay on topic and respect other people’s opinions, avoid profanity, personal attacks, offensive statements, illegal content (including links) and anything else that might otherwise violate good humanitarian sense. Basically, don’t post anything you would not want your mother to see. Respect other participants of this blog and don’t belittle, make fun off, or insult any other participants. Thank you. I really appreciate it.
COMMENTS FAQ
How do I post a comment?
At the bottom of every blog entry is a web form type in comments. Comments will be moderated before they are posted to the blog.
Should I use my real name when making a comment?
Although it’s not mandatory, I encourage you to use your real name because I’ve found that people who use their real names blogging or commenting actually carry on more engaging, responsible, and respectful conversations.
What makes a good comment?
Good comments add something to the discussion in a civil way. They do not contain profanity, advertisements, press releases, or personal attacks on authors of the blog or other commenters.
Why are comments moderated?
Moderating comments before they are posted means you won’t have to deal with spam comments or irrelevant one cluttering up the debate. It also allows our readers to hold meaningful discussions without unnecessary distractions.
Where do I submit tips or corrections?
You can send tips or requests for corrections to me here.
Are comments edited?
Comments are not edited. Moderators either accept comments as is or reject them entirely. So, please make meaningful comments.
How long will it take for comments to be approved and posted?
I strive to approve or reject every comment within 12-24 hours.
Why was my comment rejected?
Please see the above description of what makes a good comment for why comments are generally rejected.
Can I criticize the blog entry in my comment?
Absolutely. Just don’t personally attack me, other authors or commenters.
Are markup tags (HTML) allowed in the comments?
Yes, only simple HTML tags are allowed if you know what those simple tags are. Otherwise, they will not be interpreted but shown as entered. That makes your comment look ugly.
